Current rating: This is one of the most critical factors when choosing a fuse. The rated current of the fuse needs to be determined based on the expected maximum current in the protected circuit. Generally speaking, the rated current of the fuse should be slightly larger than the normal working current of the circuit, but not too large, otherwise it may not be able to blow in time and fail to provide protection.
Voltage rating: The voltage rating of the fuse must be greater than or equal to the working voltage of the circuit to ensure that the fuse can work normally under the normal working voltage.
Fusing characteristics: Different fuses have different fusing characteristics. Some are fast-blow types, which are suitable for circuits that are sensitive to current changes and require fast protection; while slow-blow types are suitable for circuits with short-term current overloads but will not cause long-term damage.
Size and installation method: Make sure that the selected fuse can match the vehicle's fuse holder and is firmly installed.
Current rating: The current rating of the fuse must match the normal working current of the protected circuit and the maximum overload current that may occur. If the current rating of the selected fuse is too small, it may blow frequently, affecting the normal use of the circuit; if it is too large, it will not blow in time when the circuit fails, and it will not play a protective role.
Voltage rating: The voltage rating of the fuse must be greater than or equal to the operating voltage of the circuit to ensure that the fuse can work normally under normal operating voltage to avoid the fuse from not working properly or being damaged due to insufficient voltage.
Fusing characteristics: Fast-blow fuses can blow quickly when the current is overloaded, and are suitable for sensitive circuits with high protection requirements; while slow-blow fuses blow slowly when the current is overloaded, and are suitable for some circuits with instantaneous current peaks, such as starting motor circuits.
Size and installation method: Make sure that the selected fuse can match the vehicle's fuse holder and install it firmly to avoid the fuse from not working properly or causing safety accidents due to size mismatch or unstable installation.
When selecting a high speed fuse, you also need to consider factors such as its operating environment temperature and forced cooling method, which will affect the performance and life of the fuse.
Avoid replacing different types of fuses at will, otherwise it may cause big problems and affect the protection and safety of the circuit.
